About

I build with data and write about what it costs to stay human.

Data strategist. AI consultant. Public thinker. Speaker. Founder of Data Habitat.

The story

I did not arrive here in a straight line. I came through spreadsheets and late nights, through governance frameworks and messy datasets, through rooms where I was the only woman and rooms where I was the only Muslim, and slowly through the realisation that the work I cared about was never really about the technology.

Today I help organisations make honest decisions about data and AI, and I help individuals and small businesses build the digital foundations they have been putting off. Alongside that, I write — publicly, imperfectly — about faith, technology, ambition and the quiet cost of carrying too much.

I write for the woman who refuses to choose between her deen and her dreams, because I am her. I do not believe ambition and devotion are opposites. I believe they sharpen each other.

“Dream so big that the entire world cannot contain it.”

A sentence I keep returning to.

Mission

I believe knowledge should be accessible to everyone. Not just people who can afford it. Not just people in the right country. Everyone.

That belief is why the guides here are free, why the workshops cost nothing, and why I keep writing in public instead of behind a paywall. If something I have learned can shorten someone else’s road, it should be shared.
